Once you’re able to talk about the present and the past, it’s time to make room for plans, predictions, promises, and uncertainties. Let’s use the future simple!
Futuro semplice (simple future tense) is a simple tense made of a single word conjugated by using suffixes. The futuro semplice translates three different English structures depending on the context. Here are some examples:
L’anno prossimo andremo in Italia ”Next year we will go to Italy”
Penso che avrà circa trent’anni ”I think he must be about thirty years old”
Domani vado a Roma ”Tomorrow I’m going to Rome”

WHEN DO WE USE FUTURO SEMPLICE?
The Italian simple future is used in these cases :
FUTURE PLANS AND INTENTIONS Quest’estate viaggerò in Sicilia ”This summer I will travel to Sicily”
PREDICTIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE Domani pioverà tutto il giorno ”Tomorrow it will rain all day”
PROMISES AND COMMITMENTS Ti prometto che studierò di più ”I promise I will study more”
TO MAKE ASSUMPTIONS Quanti anni avrà?Forse trenta ”How old might he be?Maybe thirty
AFTER conjunctions such as: SE, QUANDO, and APPENA Quando arriverai, chiamerai ”When you arrive, you will call” Se finirò di lavorare presto, andrò al mare ”If I finish to work soon, I’ll go to the beach” Appena Maria uscirà, andrò a casa ”As soon as Maria comes out, I will go home”
HOW TO FORM FUTURO SEMPLICE?
This time, we will use one set of suffixes for the majority of the verbs, with a few cases of spelling changes and irregular verbs.

Regular ARE ending verbs undergo spelling changes. Here is the process:
ex. parlAre drop -the last letter : parlAr… -change the A into an E : parlER… (future stem) – add the future suffixes io parlErò tu parlErai lei\lui parlErà noi parlEremo voi parlErete loro parlEranno
IRREGULAR VERBS IN FUTURE SIMPLE
The futuro semplice irregular verbs are relatively limited. The irregularity is in the stem, the suffixes are the same. Here is a list of verbs with an irregular stem : andare→andR … volere→vorr … cadere→cadR … tenere→terr … dovere→dovR … fare→far … potere→potR … dare→dar … sapere→sapR … stare→star … vedere→vedR … venire→verr … rimanere→rimarr …
Also ESSERE and AVERE are irregular. Here is the full conjugation :

SPELLING CHANGES : -care, -gare, -ciare, -giare verbs
A limited number of -ARE erbs require a spelling adjustment. This is solely a matter of Italian spelling, not a true irregularity.
